Art for Justice and Refugee Rights

On May 8, 2025, KDG hosted a musical afternoon focused on the intersections of art and advocacy. The guests, rapper Mohammed Jadallah and singer-comedian Ali R. Taha, addressed issues related to the Palestinian cause and the lives of migrants and refugees through music and humour.

Mohammed Jadallah, also known as El-Henry, is a Palestinian from the besieged city of Gaza. He is a rapper, songwriter, and doctor of physical therapy. He moved from Gaza City in Palestine to Ljubljana, but sadly, his family and loved ones remain there under ongoing genocide. Through rap, he seeks to share his message with the world and speak the truth, blending rap and R&B styles. He has performed at many concerts across Slovenia.

Ali R. Taha is a Syrian-Iraqi singer, songwriter, and music producer based in Ljubljana. He combines traditional Middle Eastern melodies with modern sounds, creating a unique style that bridges cultures and resonates with diverse audiences. He is also a comedian who tackles issues such as integration, racism, the Middle East, and bureaucracy through stand-up comedy.
